Step 1: Investigation

During the investigation phase of the Minnect project, the Jafton team encountered a unique challenge. We had to start with an existing codebase that was developed by another team. Our first step was to thoroughly investigate and understand the codebase to identify its strengths, weaknesses, and any potential limitations. This investigation allowed us to assess the feasibility of building upon the existing code and determine the most effective approach for optimizing and enhancing the app's performance, ensuring a seamless user experience for connecting users with experts and celebrities on the Minnect platform.

Step 2: Planning

Our team, consisting of five members and a dedicated project manager, worked collaboratively to ensure a seamless project execution. Regular face-to-face meetings were held every week to discuss progress, address challenges, and align on project goals. Through effective planning and task allocation, we successfully initiated the project and set achievable timelines for each deliverable. The collaborative nature of the team enabled efficient communication and coordination, resulting in timely completion of tasks and milestones, ensuring a smooth development process for the app.

Step 3: Design

Through extensive collaboration and iterations, we successfully revamped the design to enhance usability, while staying true to the brand's aesthetics and maintaining a consistent visual identity across the Minnect platform.

Step 4: Development and testing

During the Development and Testing phase of the Minnect project, we began working with the existing codebase and used of RubyMotion for the backend development. Our development team utilized their expertise in native iOS and Android development for the frontend implementation. With a focus on code quality and best practices, we ensured the seamless integration of backend and frontend components. Rigorous testing was conducted throughout the development process to identify and resolve any issues or bugs, guaranteeing a stable and reliable app experience for users on both iOS and Android platforms.

Step 5: Release

In the Release phase of the Minnect project, we conducted thorough testing to address any bugs or issues, ensuring a smooth user experience. Following a successful launch, the app gained significant traction, with an impressive 10,000 users signing up within the first day. This positive response highlighted the app's appeal and demonstrated its potential for widespread adoption and success.
