Step 1: Investigation
During the investigation phase of the SuperLive project, our main challenge was to create a live streaming platform that fostered a safe and positive environment for users, free from nudity, pornography, violence, or any illegal activities. Our focus was on understanding the potential risks and challenges associated with live streaming and developing robust content moderation mechanisms.
Step 2: Planning
Our main focus was to create an informative and user-friendly platform. We aimed to provide users with a seamless and engaging experience while adhering to strict guidelines to ensure a safe and responsible environment. We carefully planned the implementation of unique functionalities, such as allowing users to stream videos individually or participate in battles with multiple users.
Step 3: Design
To design the prototype of the app we used the versatile design tool Figma. Figma enabled our design team to collaborate effectively and create visually appealing interfaces that enhance the overall user experience. We focused on designing a seamless and intuitive feed that showcases content from different countries, as well as in-battle and multi-user sessions.
Step 4: Development and testing
We utilized Kotlin for Android development and Swift for iOS development. Our development team worked diligently to implement the features and functionalities outlined in the planning phase. With Kotlin, we created a robust and efficient Android application that provided seamless live streaming capabilities to users. Similarly, Swift enabled us to develop a high-quality and user-friendly iOS application.
Step 5: Release
In 2020, the SuperLive app was officially released, marking its entry into the digital landscape. The app's launch brought forth an exciting platform for users to connect and engage with people worldwide through live streaming. With its emphasis on fun, safety, and the ability to sort content by country, SuperLive quickly gained traction and captured the attention of users seeking meaningful connections.
