Our success story with

Whatnot

Step 1 Investigation
Step 1: Investigation
During the development of the Whatnot app, we encountered several challenges. Ensuring the integrity of the marketplace, addressing user concerns regarding privacy and data protection, and managing secure payment processing were key hurdles. Additionally, designing a consistent and intuitive user experience across different devices and platforms presented its own set of challenges. However, with meticulous planning, technical expertise, and a customer-centric approach, we successfully navigated these challenges to deliver a robust and user-friendly app.
Step 2: Planning
Jafton took a proactive approach by offering to develop the Whatnot app entirely from scratch. By embarking on a custom-built development process, we had the opportunity to shape every aspect of the app according to the client's specific requirements and vision. This approach allowed us to deliver a truly tailored and high-quality solution that met the unique needs of the Whatnot project.
Step 2 Planning
Step 3 Design
Step 3: Design
Jafton harnessed the power of Adobe XD, an industry-leading design tool, to craft the intricate details of the Whatnot app. Our team designed pixel-perfect user interfaces, seamless navigation flows, and interactive prototypes using Adobe XD's robust features such as artboards, responsive design capabilities, and prototyping functionality. This allowed us to visualize and refine the app's layout, typography, color schemes, and micro-interactions, resulting in a visually stunning and user-friendly design for the Whatnot app.
Step 4: Development and testing
Jafton embraced an innovative tech stack to power the development of the Whatnot app, ensuring a modern and efficient solution. We leveraged Flutter, Google's cross-platform framework, enabling us to develop a single codebase for both iOS and Android platforms, reducing development time and effort. For the backend, we utilized the fast and scalable Node.js runtime environment, coupled with Express.js for robust API development. MongoDB served as our NoSQL database, providing flexibility and scalability for handling large volumes of data. This forward-thinking tech stack allowed us to deliver a high-performing and dynamic app experience for the Whatnot platform.
Step 4 Development and testing
Step 5 Release
Step 5: Release
The Whatnot app achieved a significant milestone with its successful release on both the App Store and Google Play. After rigorous testing and meticulous preparation, we ensured that the app met the strict guidelines and requirements of each platform. This dual release enabled Whatnot to reach a vast user base across iOS and Android devices, providing seamless access to its marketplace and connecting collectors and sellers from around the world.
